OH CHRISTMAS TREE .
How is it Christmas time already? This year has flown by, but like many people, Christmas is hands down, my favourite time of the year, so I'm one hundred percent okay that the Christmas season is here again. It's just not Christmas without a tree, so of course I forced my husband to go with on opening day to pick out the perfect tree for our sweet little apartment! This is our third Christmas and every year we have gone to a tree farm to cut down our tree. This is definitely our favourite Christmas tradition! Not sure if three years qualifies as a tradition, but I'm taking the liberty to say it's already a Grootenboer tradition, haha.
Something else I have been loving during this wonderful Christmas season has been my fleece Patagonia Vest. The warmest, coziest, and the most versatile vest I have owned, it seriously can go with so many different outfits for many different occasions! For Christmas Tree hunting it was perfect, it kept me warm on the chilly Saturday morning.
Clothing layers and Hunter boots are definitely key to being prepared for winters out in the Pacific Northwest. It might be freezing in the morning, the next hour it'll be raining, the next hour it will warm up and and maybe even sunny. You just never know, so layers is where it's at, and you can almost guarantee at some point during the day it'll rain, cue the hunter boots.
If you live in the Fraser Valley and still need to pick out your Christmas Tree and want to make a fun Christmas activity out of it, go check out Bough and Branch on Downes Rd. A family-run business, so sweet and welcoming, and such a fun Christmas atmosphere. S'mores, hot chocolate, they have all the tools there that you need, and the best selection of Christmas Trees, you won't be disappointed!
Happy Holidays!
xoxo, Mara
