EAT , DRINK , AND BE MERRY .
The holidays are busy, the holidays are filled with sweets and so many other tempting delicious foods that are.. well, not exactly healthy. That being said, you aren't going to gain 10 pounds over the couple of holiday weeks, but that shouldn't keep you from spiraling and gorging in every single food that presents itself in front of you. Holidays are no excuse to gorge and indulge, to stop your workout routines and habits. Don't let this busy and sweet treat holiday become your excuse, it is all on you, no excuses but yourself. Enjoy yourself this holiday season and have some sweets and delicious Christmas dinners, do not rid yourself of those treats or delicious meals completely, but don't let it be your excuse to let go this holiday season and to lose all of your progress that you have made leading up to this special holiday season. Eat slow, I know you have heard it, but seriously, enjoy your food and socialize with the loved ones your surrounded with. It takes 20 minutes or more even for your stomach to transmit the message to your brain that you are full. So sit back, relax, and do enjoy a treat or two, drink lots of water, and still try to get in a quick workout most days out of the week, even when you don't feel like it, stop making excuses and just get it done. When we look and feel our best, we are that much more likely to fully enjoy the present and fully BE in the present with our loved ones, don't be absent physically and emotionally this holiday season! A cookie or two is not going to derail your progress, just like one plate of steamed vegetables isn't going to magically give you a six pack and get rid of cellulite. Enjoy your holidays and relax, be in the present with your family and friends, but don't ruin them by over indulging and altogether abandoning your healthy lifestyle.
Happy Holidays!
