NATURAL HAIR .
N A T U R A L . I am getting asked a lot about my hair and how it has gotten long, thick, all while getting coloured a couple times a year. I am not writing this to be bragging, in fact, as I am typing this I am feeling somewhat funny, but I have been asked, so I’m writing for you beauties, on the topic, so here it goes! Here are a few tips that have worked for me, it might not work for everyone, but definitely has made a difference for my hair!
AIR DRY– save time spent on doing your hair. Plus it is oh so boring, just standing there for fifteen minutes, not to mention hair getting stuck in your eyes and mouth. It all started when I was studying in Belize, I would let my hair air dry, no room in my suitcase for a blow dryer, and much too humid in that Caribbean weather to attempt to keep your hair straight! My hair grew so much while in Belize! I dry my hair SOMETIMES for date nights, but often I will shower at night and just let my hair dry while I am sleeping, put a few curls in with my wand in the morning, and call it good! On that note, straightening and curling your hair every single day will also cause heat damage, so use minimally! Everyone loves those natural curls!
DRY SHAMPOO- if you have yet to try out dry shampoo, your world will change once you discover this beautiful invention. Do not wash your hair everyday, you are stripping it of its natural oils and stunts is growth when you do that. Instead on the days in between washing your hair just spray a bit of dry shampoo near the roots for a little pick me up. Again, saves on time as well as money on all of our shampoos and conditioners! If you haven’t noticed, being efficient with my time is a huge priority to me, haha! Here is my favourite dry shampoo!
