VALENTINE'S DAY WITH YOUR BEST GALS
The month of February is upon us, and quickly sneaks up Valentine’s Day! I love nothing more then celebrating with my husband, but that doesn’t mean I don’t love to celebrate with my best gal pals either! Every girl needs their gal pals, we would go insane and so would our significant others, because lets be real, men don’t always love to hear all of our girl sagas, especially when their hockey team is playing! Eric is really so great at always listening to me, but there are just times when you just NEED a girls opinion!
This Valentine’s Day I will be spending it with my amazing husband as well as the talented Justin Timberlake, his post pone tour date landed on Valentine’s Day, but I won’t complain about that! So this year that is what our day will look like, but on the blog today I am going to share some great Galentine’s day ideas for you to do with your best gal pals who are always there for you and are encouraging you along in this beautiful thing we call life. Because life isn’t always filled with rosé and having brunch with your babes every week day morning. We often get wrapped up in having everything instagram worthy and if we aren’t able to do that we aren’t living the best life. It is definitely hard to not get wrapped up in that thinking and mindset! So surround yourself with women of high character, loyalty, encouragement and that love to have fun and not get wrapped up in drama, life is way too short to surround yourself with women that are not those few things!
Macaroons and red wine, can you think of a more heavenly combination, other than donuts and coffee of course. I love a good drink and tasty treat. I have never attempted to make macaroons, but this recipe was somewhat easy and oh so yummy! How pretty are these beautiful but cracked treats? What would be a worthwhile Galentine’s Day party without a good bottle of red wine? It wouldn’t, and red wine is just too delicious to not have!
What sounds better than cozying up on the couch with your best gal pals, watching a Ryan Reynolds rom-com, red wine in hand and a plate full of macaroons. Really, can life get much better than that? Even if you don’t celebrate on Valentine’s day, what doesn’t say you can’t do this exact thing any night or the week or weekend with the best women in your life? So get your favourite babes together and celebrate with them! We all need support and a community, we are made to interact with others and create friendships and relationships with people. So whether you spend the day with your spouse, significant other or your tribe of babes, enjoy it with those you love!
