CENTRE PIECE IDEAS FOR YOUR THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY

CENTRE PIECE IDEAS FOR YOUR THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY

Ah, I love nothing more then decorating our table. To be honest, we hardly even eat at our table, but when we have company over and host dinners, my favourite part is getting it all decorated! True grandma vibes, I know, but it is so fun and is a creative outlet for me. This year I went for simple and elegant, and a hint of farmhouse.

First things first, the table runner. No table scape is complete without a table runner, it ties everything together in such a simple way. Super simple runner idea is to use brown craft paper. I bought a brown craft paper roll last year from Home Depot and still am using the same roll, but you can also get them right off amazon like I linked! Plus the best part is you can just recycle the paper when you are done with it, no need to worry if people stain it! I don’t know about you, but our friends our messy, just kidding guys, we love you oh so much.

Secondly, candles. Candles are so romantic and give such a warmth to the house, no not heat wise, but just you feel all cozy and comfortable when you are in a house filled with candles. If you have ever been to our house, there is a really good chance a candle is burning, anytime of the day and anytime of the year, especially now getting into the rainy Fall season. When it comes to decorating my table, I love just the simple creme pillar candles. When you have candles on your table, definitely do unscented so that it is not taking away from your amazing food smells. I buy so many of these cheap guys from the dollar store, and just go to town with them on my table, the more the merrier! Pillar candles are so effortless and an affordable way to make a centre piece look very put together.

Thirdly, I add in about two pillar candle holders with tapered candles in. Adds different textures and elements amongst all of your pillar candles that you have strewn about on your table. I usually do two pillar candle holders, and about three or four votive candle holders. I bought mine last year, and still have been using them, but below are other candle holders that I am in love with for this holiday season! Make sure that you have various heights, it is just so much more pleasing to the eyes with varying heights.

Fourth, I usually pick one piece that is different from the rest. I love me some greens, so I typically go with some sort of fun vase. I have faux eucalyptus for pretty much everywhere in my home, thank you Joanna for making the best faux plant stems! Always put this one of a kind piece in the centre, it will tie everything in, and make it so it stands as tall or taller then your two pillar candle holders. This green vase that I have is from Magnolia, but I had gotten it on clearance a few weeks back, so it is discontinued now. Don’t fret, she still has plenty of beautiful vases to choose from! I’m going to link my other favourites below!

Napkins, always so fun to have cloth napkins. It has a couple of uses, adds so much to the look of your table, decor wise, and it can actually be used as a napkin and the best part is you can just throw them in the wash after, and use again another time, easy as that! There are so many fun napkin holders as well which tie it together and make it simple so you don’t have to try fold your cloth napkins a certain way.

Lastly, the greenery, the greenery is everything and adds so much warmth and life to your table scape! I have faux greenery around my house, and the only after visiting the Silos I will only ever buy my greenery from Magnolia. It is so beautiful, and looks so real. If you’ve never looked for greenery you don’t understand, but if you have been on the hunt before and always come up empty handed, let me tell you, shop at Magnolia! You won’t be disappointed. Greenery just adds warmth and life to any room in your house, but you don’t have to worry about keeping it alive or replacing your live eucalyptus every week. The day of the gathering I will go outside and cut some greenery off the living shrubs outside of our house for added greenery in and around all of the candles and decor on the table. Adds a beautiful inexpensive little touch!

I hope this helps give a little inspiration for your holiday season centre piece ideas. Especially if you struggle with visualization and need some inspiration! Super affordable and you can go even more elaborate or simplify it if you desire!

Happy Holidays,

xoxo Mara
